Responsibilities: As a school psychologist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individual Education Programs (IEPs) and interventions that address students' specific needs.
Providing counseling and support to students, addressing social-emotional issues, behavior management, and academic performance.
Assisting in the development and implementation of school-wide programs and initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations for supporting students' overall development
Qualifications: To be considered for the position of school psychologist, you should meet the following qualifications:
-Hold a valid license or certification as a school psychologist in the state of Ohio.
-Possess a solid understanding of psychological assessment techniques and best practices in providing support to students with diverse needs.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
Exhibit strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, applying research-based strategies to address students' academic, social, and emotional challenges.
Maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with the latest advancements in the field of school psychology.
Education and Experience:
A Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field is required.
Experience as a school psychologist is preferred but not required.
Work Hours:
This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with flexible hours to accommodate students' needs.
