Clinic Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Postion Overview:

EJ is seeking a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide pediatric therapy services at our Wooster and Canal Fulton clinics. This position is currently approximately 10 hours per week, with the opporutnity for additional hours as our clini caseload grows.

The PTA will work undert eh direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and collaborate with therapists, families, and other members of the care team to support each child’s individualized goals. 

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Provide physical therapy treatment according to established plans of care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Work with children on activities designed to support strength, balance, coordination, mobility, motor skills, and functional participation. 
• Monitor and document patient progress during treatment sessions.
• Communicate observations and progress with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate and support families in carrying over recommended activities and strategies. 
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other members of the therapy team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Follow professional, ethical, and regulatory standards for pediatric physical therapy services. 

Qualifications:

• Current Ohio licensure or certification, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles and treatment techniques
• Ability to work effectively with children and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a therapy team.
• Dependeability, organization, and effective time-management skills. 

Education:

• Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Experience:

• Pediatric experience is preferred but not required
• New graduates are welcome to apply
